93-97 NISSAN SKYLINE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


1. Give yourself space to work. Remove the ashtray and then remove the screw behind it.

2. Remove the shift knob with a swift and strong counter clockwise twist. If you have never removed it before it might require significant force to loosen. Gently pull the plastic surround and remove. Remove connectors from cigarette lighter.

3. With a pair of pliers remove clips from the old boot.  

4. Turn boot inside out then remove rubber plug and metal clip from neck of old boot.

5. Installation of the new boot is the reverse order of the above. Replace rubber plug and metal clip then turn boot right side out. Position boot holes over plastic pins and replace self gripping washers. Replace console and screws. Replace gear knob.

6. Unclip the snaps on the base of the ebrake boot.

7. Flex metal frame and remove it from the center console. Remove the metal frame from the old boot by cutting it out.

8. Thread the metal frame in  the seam made in the bottom of the new boot. 

9. Replace the boot in the center console, fasten it around the neck of the handbrake.

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
