Open center compartment to allow clearance for mirror control trim.
|
|
|
Pull mirror control trim up and move out of the way. If you remove one of the switches or hole blanks, you can more easily pull it out.
|
|
|
Remove shifter knob by unscrewing. Yes, it unscrews. If it's never been off before, you may need to wrap the knob with a cloth and use a wrench to help you get leverage.
|
|
|
Push the original boot straight down in one of the forward corners.
|
|
|
Using the hole you've just created, pull the shifter trim up from the front.
|
|
|
Pull the rest of the boot out of the bottom of the shifter trim. Be careful not to break the tabs that hold it in place.
|
|
|
Note the long side of the new shift boot.
|
|
|
Install the shift boot from the bottom using the original tabs.
|
|
|
Snap the shifter trim back into place inserting the rear in first.
|
|
|
Roll the excess in if you choose. Then screw the shift knob back on. Don't forget to reinstall the mirror control trim.
|
|
|
Locate snap on e-brake handle. Unsnap and slide off.
|
|
|
Slide handle off e-brake. Twisting it while pulling may help.
|
|
|
Note location of snap and slide the new boot on.
|
|
|
Slide handle back on and admire work.
|
|
