shift boot installation guide

1. Take both thumbs and push on the bottom of the boot towards the dashboard and then lift up. The bracket should pop out at the bottom. Unscrew the shift knob.

2. Slide the boot down towards the handbrake. Then pull the boot and its bracket off the shifter.

3. Unhook the boot from the bracket at the end indicated. Then take out the bracket.

4. Stretch the new boot over the bracket and push through the 4 slits as shown. Take note of the cutouts on the right side of the photo. Line up the cutouts with the correct side of the bracket. Tuck the corners and edges around the bracket. You may wish to glue them. I just squeezed the leather to keep it in place.

5. Reverse steps 1-3 to re-install the new boot.

CONGRATULATIONS - YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
