82-88 VW SCIROCCO/84-93 VW CABRIOLET
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Unscrew the shift knob. Remove the boot assembly by squeezing in
on the sides at the base of the boot.

2. Separate the boot from the plastic bracket by prying off the
four metal retaining clips.
3. Before installing your new shift boot, pry open the clips a bit so
you don't make a mess of the boot.
4. Place the new boot around the plastic bracket, and slide the clips
into place, then squeeze them down so they stay.
5. If your boot does not come with a "rolled lip" on the
top, you may want to do this yourself. Just use a finger to push the top inside
of itself as pictured.
6. Slide the assembly over the shift lever, being careful to preserve
the rolled top. Face the wider part of the plastic bracket toward the front of
the car. Squeeze the sides in and push down to get it to lock into place. Screw
the shift knob back on and enjoy!
7. To install the ebrake boot, just slide it on top of the
existing setup.
8. Make sure the elastic goes all the way in, nice and smooth
around the plastic assembly.

CONGRATULATIONS - YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!
Useful tip
You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
