shift boot installation guide

1. Remove Gear Knob and remove the old gear leaver gaitor. Remove the gaiter from the plastic frame.

2. There is a metal frame inside the bottom of the gaiter.

3. Cut and remove the metal frame. 

4. Turn the old gaiter inside out and remove rubber plug,metal clip and rubber band. Move all those pieces to the new gaiter.

5. Mount the new gaiter in the plastic frame, and insert the metal frame inside the new gaiter. Reinstall the frame, put your gear knob back on. 

6. To install the e-brake boot, please follow a similar procedure (with removing the wire from the bottom of the OEM boot and installing it into the new boot).

7. Open the armrest. Remove the screws visible in this picture. Wrap the armrest cover around the armrest and align it for a nice and snug fit. Re-install back in the car.

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
