89-92 FORD PROBE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS


  

1. Remove shifterknob. Factory one should just screw off to remove.

 

2. Take a flat-head scewdriver and gently pry up on the frame, there are no screws involved yet so it should just pop up.

3. There should be a total of six screws on the underside of the frame holding the boot in. Simply unscrew these to remove the boot.

 

4. After unscrewing the stock boot, there will be a seperate piece left inside it. Make sure to take this out.

 

5. Install the new boot in the reverse order of removing the old one.
6. The ebrake boot simply slides over the existing plastic cover. Use any blunt tool (chopsticks work great) to tuck it in neatly.

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
