shift boot installation guide

Looking for a Pontiac Firebird shift boot? We offer the best ones out there!

82-92 FIREBIRD/CAMARO INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Begin with removing you shift knob by rotating it counter clockwise.

2. Remove the center console. There are two screws towards the back of it. Once you remove those, start lifting it and remove any other screws that you come across in the process.

3. The boot is mounted to the console with a bracket. Remove the bracket (4 philips screws). Remove the boot.

4. Align the RedlineGoods shift boot with the bracket and install the new boot (you might want to glue it to the bracket, but it's not necessary) to the bracket and the bracket back into the center console.

5. Reinstall the top piece of the center console. Make sure to reattach the traction control wires, the wires to the ash tray light, and the center console pocket light.

6. Reinstall and shift knob.

ENJOY YOUR NEW LEATHER BOOTS!

Useful tip

You have installed a product made out of genuine leather. As you know, to maintain a leather product in good condition, you should take care of it. We suggest occasionally (every 4-6 week for example) applying some leather conditioner/UV protector to keep your leather from drying up in the sun and cracking.
